Since its founding in 2000, Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy has grown steadily; the company opened eight stores across four states at the end of its first two years in business. In addition to full pharmacy services, Pharmaca stores have selections of vitamins, supplements, herbal remedies, and personal care products. The company has been active with ‘green’ initiatives: it uses sustainable materials during store construction, energy-efficient lighting, provides customers with biodegradable bags, offers credits for customers who use reusable bags, and prints store signage and marketing materials on printed recycled paper when possible. Pharmaca also looks to stock eco-conscious brands on its store shelves.

This year, Chain Store Guide celebrates its 80th anniversary.
