A new report released in August has highlighted key markets for Walgreen’s pharmacy store increases throughout various growth areas across the country. According to Chain Store Guide’s 2014 Drug Industry Market Share Report, the drug store giant has increased its pharmacy count in several key areas where it has a significant retail presence.
In each of the key growth markets highlighted below, Walgreens operates eight or more pharmacy locations. Each market is designated by a core-based statistical area (CBSA). Increases occurred through a combination of organic store openings as well as acquisitions.
