Ignite Restaurant Group owns and operates two restaurant brands: Joe’s Crab Shack and Brick House Tavern + Tap. The company closed seven of its Joe’s Crab Shack locations in the third quarter of this year. The plan is to convert two of closed locations to Brick House Tavern + Tap restaurants that will open early next year.
The publicly held restaurant chain recently named its board member, Robert S. Merritt, as the company’s new CEO. Ignite Restaurant Group also recently announced it instated a no-tipping policy at its Joe’s Crab Shack restaurants and plans to roll-out the policy to its Brick House Tavern + Tap restaurants in the future.
