LA Fitness International LLC is a privately-owned health club chain that was formed in 1984. The company opened its 300th club in 2009, and has more than doubled in size since then. LA Fitness recently announced it intends to acquire all eleven 24 Hour Fitness clubs in Arizona. In the same deal 24 Hour Fitness will acquire two LA Fitness clubs in Oklahoma and one in Nebraska. LA Fitness plans to open 50 new stores in the next year.
