Chain Store Guide analysts are currently reviewing the data to produce the newest edition of our Discount, General Merchandise & Dollar Store Market Share Report which will be available to our clients and customers later this summer. In the meantime, here’s a look at market share for the top two markets from the current edition.

The New York- and Los Angeles-centered CBSAs top the charts  in total spending. Rounding out the top five, in order, are the CBSAs home to Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth and Atlanta.
