Taking Stock of Store Closings

Two months into the year and we’ve reached a point at which we can chart 2019 store closings by major apparel and department store retailers. The CSG research team has pulled together the data from recent annoucments by the likes of Payless and Charlotte Russe and combined it with previously announced store closures that will impact 2019.

We’ve limited the chart below to companies closing 20 or more stores in 2019, and we’ll continue to update the dataset and report the results as the year unfolds.

Chain Store Guide offers best-in-class sales leads and contact information, company data, and geocoded store location lists for more than 5,700 companies across the apparel and department store industries.
