• Refuel Operating Co. LLC has entered into an agreement to acquire Double Quick Inc., an Indianola, MS, based retail fuel distribution and c-store chain that operates 48 stores.
• Northwest Grocers has named KeHE Distributors as its primary wholesaler for natural, organic, and specialty products.
• Aldi Inc. plans to open two new stores this year in Long Island, NY. Both of the new stores will have about 12,000 square feet of retail space, as in typical Aldi locations.
• Big Y Foods Inc. has partnered with Takeoff Technologies to build an automated micro-fulfillment center to support its online grocery business. The robotics-powered facility, which will fill delivery orders, will be in Chicopee, MA.
