 Ahold-Delhaize plans to transition six of its facilities to a self-distribution model in the next year, reports Supermarket News. Facility locations are in Assonet, Massachusetts, Jessup, Maryland, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Manchester, Connecticut, and Mauldin, South Carolina.

 Hy-Vee Inc. is now offering childhood vaccinations through its pharmacy locations.

 Publix Super Markets Inc. now allows patients to make an appointment online for a flu shot at its pharmacy locations.

 Amazon.com Inc. reported that almost 20,000 of its frontline workers, including from subsidiary Whole Foods Market, have been infected with COVID-19.

 David’s Bridal is providing visitors to its website with access to 3D and AR visualizations of its best-selling dresses.

 Gap Inc. announced its holiday hiring is going virtual this year and some seasonal hires will be able to work from home.

 Target Corporation is expanding their same-day shipping capabilities adding apparel items for delivery in as little one hour from its Shipt on-demand delivery service.

 

Restaurant

 Bob Evans Restaurant has launched a new mobile ordering app that will facilitate carryout, curbside pickup, and delivery. The app will also allow for contactless payment for dine-in customers.

 Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is launching meal subscription boxes that will deliver proteins, sides, and desserts to customer’s doors.

 Golden Corral franchise operator 1069 Restaurant Group has filed for bankruptcy due to COVID-19.

 Ruby Tuesday Inc. has filed for bankruptcy due to complications from COVID-19. The company will be permanently closing 185 stores that had been temporarily closed due to COVID-19.
