Albertson’s and Walmart have started administering COVID-19 vaccines to healthcare workers from their pharmacies.

Kroger is hiring 1,000 new employees across its pharmacies to facilitate the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

Wawa has opened their first drive-thru location that will also feature reserved spaces for curbside pick-up.

 

Retail

A new $900 billion COVID-19 stimulus deal has been passed by Congress. The package includes $284 billion in PPP loans that will reportedly have fewer loopholes.

NIKE Inc. plans to open between 150-200 small format stores in North America next year. The store types are part of the brands focus on a smaller footprint following the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Restaurant

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has opened three new ghost kitchens in Illinois, Florida, and California.

Punch Bowl Social has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. All remaining locations have been closed indefinitely.
