• Meijer Inc. has administered more than 1 million COVID-19 vaccines through its pharmacies’ in-store clinics, and is now launching a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination program at all of its pharmacy locations.

 

Retail

• Amazon.com Inc. is expanding its in-garage grocery delivery service to all markets where it currently offers grocery delivery through Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market.

 

Restaurant

• Dog Haus International LLC has opened a new ghost kitchen locations in East Bay, CA, through CloudKitchens.

• DoorDash has changed their pricing to include three different options for partner companies. The move comes after DoorDash faced severe backlash for high commission fees at the outset of the pandemic and a dwindling number of partners as restrictions have begun to lift.

• Starbucks Coffee is using their AI technology, Deep Brew, to track vaccine progress. The company is using the information to determine where the most growth opportunities are.

• Taco John’s is looking to hire an additional 6,000 employees after seeing growth during the COVID-19 pandemic.
