• Costco Wholesale Corp. has reinstated purchase limits on some products as people are stockpiling again due to COVID-19 infections climbing in the US.
• Walmart Stores Inc. reported it will raise its minimum hourly wage for store employees from $11 to $12 this month. More than 565,000 workers will receive raises of at least $1 per hour.
Restaurant
• Greens Restaurant Group LLC CEO Jonathan Neman has publicly apologized for recent comments he made that were deemed insensitive and false. Neman placed the blame of COVID-19 on obesity and called for health mandates while claiming masks and vaccines would not save people.
• Walmart has announced a partnership with Ghost Kitchen Brands that will add delivery only restaurants to select Walmart stores. Customers will order from a kiosk within the store and be notified when their food is ready for pickup.
