The company increased their net earning 49% from $2.9 billion to $4.3 billion and their total sales reached $57.1 billion; a 24% market share for the areas in which they operate. Publix’s supermarket of the year award is just one of many accolades the company has received. They have been named one of Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For and Best Workplaces in Retail for four straight years. They also landed on Forbes’ Best Employers for Veterans and Best Employers for Diversity. They have also held the No.1 spot on Newsweek magazine’s America’s Best Customer Service in Supermarkets list for five straight years. The company has continued to grow without compromising on their original vision of employee empowerment and customer satisfaction.
