• Builders FirstSource Inc. has acquired the assets of Bianchi & Company, Inc. located in Charlotte, NC.

• R.K. Miles Inc. announced it is acquiring Allen Lumber Co. Inc. The move includes the acquisition of locations in Barre, Montpelier, Waitsfield, and St. Johnsbury, VT.

Industry Insight

• CVS Health is moving ahead with updating stores to its new health-focused store format. The company plans to update 600 of its stores to the new format this year.

Real Estate

• Boscov’s Dept. Store LLC will open its 49th location in the fall. The 180,000 sq. ft. store will be at the Eastwood Mall in Niles, OH.

• Five Below Inc. announced that it will open 180 new stores in 2020.  The expansion for 2020 translates to 20% unit growth.
