Founded in 2002, Crocs started as a comfy non-slip shoe idea at a boat show. Starting with in-store shops at department stores and kiosks at regional malls, Crocs began to offer fun shoes at reasonable prices for the whole family. The footwear quickly became an international phenomenon. By 2010, the company was operating 300 store, outlet and kiosk locations. Crocs Inc. has doubled its store count in the past 4 years. The company plans to open at least 40 new stores this year in North America.
